Jūrmala’s Čiekuri is conceived as a contemporary hospitality and residential destination embedded between the pine forest and the Gulf of Riga. The project celebrates the natural and cultural landscapes that have shaped the site’s identity, translating them into a sustainable vision for high-quality living and tourism.
The masterplan carefully integrates new buildings within the existing forest structure, preserving protected trees and increasing overall green surfaces. A continuous green and blue network connects housing, hotel programs, and shared outdoor amenities, supporting biodiversity, well-being, and seasonal use. Natural ponds, soft landscapes, and minimized paved areas reinforce the site’s ecological character while enhancing microclimates and outdoor comfort.
Architecture is shaped by orientation, wind protection, and sun exposure, resulting in compact footprints and inclined volumes that reduce environmental impact. Local and natural materials, green roofs, and integrated renewable energy strategies—including geothermal systems, heat pumps, and solar panels—support the ambition toward low-carbon, responsible luxury.
The project combines hospitality, branded residences, and curated lifestyle services, offering balconies with expansive views, wellness facilities, and outdoor activities rooted in Latvian heritage and Baltic culture. By creating a strong synergy between landscape and architecture, Jūrmala’s Čiekuri proposes a future-oriented model for sustainable luxury living in harmony with nature.
