Many Pearls stands at the meeting of sea, sand, and sky — a monument born from Dammam’s origin and future. Once a humble coastal village where divers set out in search of hidden treasures, Dammam has evolved from the rhythm of the pearl trade to the pulse of modern industry.

Many Pearls reawakens this memory through a contemporary gesture — a thirty-meter circle lifted lightly above the ground, its canopy of woven steel holding a constellation of handcrafted pearls in glass and clay. Each one is unique, shaped by local artisans, carrying traces of touch and imperfection. Together they form a living sky of light, movement, and reflection.

Beneath the canopy, the landscape unfolds as an oasis: sand and water intertwine, children play, and neighbors gather in shade. The monument transforms the Tharwa seafront into a shared civic ground — both shelter and symbol, both memory and horizon. It is not an object to be looked at, but a place to be inhabited — where air, water, and light converge to celebrate the richness of difference and the quiet strength of collective identity.
